Today I saw a book called "The Christian Atheist" at the book store. On the cover it said, "believing in God, but living as if he doesn't exist." I read the inside cover and it talked about how the author realized that he had been believing in God but had never really proved his faith through his actions. This really made me think...do I show my faith through my actions? This is something I'm going to start working on more every day, especially as school starts up again. I hope you guys do too!
"For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his own face in a mirror. He sees himself, then goes off and promptly forgets what he looked like. But the one who peers into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, such a one shall be blessed in what he does." ~ James 1:23-25

Good word Haley!
ReplyDeleteOh Haley. I think about that a LOT, too. I have to evaluate my actions to see if they match my faith! Because like you said, believing is one thing, but living it out is totally different! Thanks for posting; it's a really good reminder for all of us.
