NOTHING is more valuable

Guess who's back? Yeah! It's DJ.
It's been a while since I posted, and some of you may remember that post. this post is a follow up to that post.

So I was reading yalls comments, and in a way, I felt like I was being reprimanded, or being given a lecture by you guys. I go tdone reading the comments and thought to myself, "I got MORE important things than this," and shut down the computer.

That night I was going to go see some of my friends. I was walking down the street to my friends house with my iPod in my ears listening to music. Then a thought came to my head, "I wonder what would play if i put on shuffle." I never put my ipod on shuffle cuz i always have a playlist i like. at the same time, I was thinking about the comments you guys posted and i started praying, "GOD, WHERE ARE YOU?" i put it on shuffle and the VERY FIRST SONG that started playing was "By Your Side" by Tenth Avenue North.

"Cuz I'll be BY YOUR SIDE, whenever you fall
in the dead of night, whenever you call
and please dont fight these hands that are holding you."

At that point, I stopped dead in my tracks. I could feel Christ calling out to me, telling me that He would always be there, even in the hardest of times, He would be there.

I feel now i have to apologize to you guys because I did not take your advice as a valuable lesson, and for that, I'm sorry. God has blessed you guys with the knowledge of His love for us. NOTHING is more valuable...

  1. hey man that's awesome! I was recently backstabbed by a girl (not literally, of course) and I listened to this one song both mad and sad at the same time. I usually have my iPod on shuffle since it only has 29 songs... and I like all of them. The song that came on next was "What Faith Can Do" by Kutless.

"Anyone can feel the ache, you think it's more than you can take. But you're stronger, stronger than you know. Don't you give up now, the sun'll soon be shining. You gotta face the clouds to find the silver lining. I've seen miracles just happen, silent breaths get answered, broken hearts become brand new. That's WHAT FAITH CAN DO. It doesn't matter what you heard, impossible is not a word. It's just a reason for someone not to try."

^^All of the above words hit me... HARD^^

And I realized God was there for me

  2. DJ!! Thanks for posting. I actually didn't have the chance to read your other blog post, but I am super encouraged at how the Lord sought you out specifically to bring you back before His throne of grace. Our hearts are so prone to wander... to get angry or upset, but every single time, the Lord's grace covers over our sins. He still pursues us and chases us to win the affections of our hearts. And He is so WORTHY of all of our time, energy and love. He is so forgiving and so good.
I am in need of the Lord's forgiveness every single day, and I gladly and graciously accept it!! Therefore, it would be silly and unfair for me not to pour out that same forgiveness on other people. It is crazy to think of a forgiven person to not forgive. Anyone who calls themselves a Christ follower should know that there is "no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1) and that we are called to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you" (Eph 4:32). So DJ, know that you are forgiven, my friend! And know that the Lord is crazy about you and loves you enough to pursue your heart. So cool!!

  3. Oh my gosh, I am so happy for you! I know you really needed something like this, and I am so glad that thet Lord has provided once again!
I love the little things God does for us, like playing a certain song or showing us a certain thing or making that person say that one little word. I know your faith will come out stronger than ever, so praise the Lord! v
