My Beloved.

I recently heard a sermon in which the speaker spoke about how we are God's Beloved. After hearing that (even though I have heard it before), I got to thinking about how it made me feel to know that the Creator of the universe calls me His Beloved. How did it make me feel to hear Him say, "Kathryn, My Beloved." It is so beautiful, really, just to know that we are so LOVED by our Father in Heaven that He calls us His beloved. In the dictionary, it says that beloved means "a much loved person." Man, we are much loved by God Himself. When I hear Him say, "Kathryn, My Beloved," all insecurities I have are washed away, any doubts that I have are erased, and any loneliness I feel is gone. When I hear that, I know that I am loved and cherished as a precious child of the Almighty Father. And that, my friends, is the absolute best that it gets. Try it yourself... Picture God saying, "(Your Name), My Beloved." How does that make you feel? Know that you are His Beloved. Remember it through any trials you face, any doubts you have, or any loneliness you feel. You are Beloved.

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God."
-1 John 4:7

I love you all so so much.

In Him,
Kathryn

  1. Awesome post! What you said reminds me of the song "Beloved" by Tenth Avenue North. You should listen to it! The chorus goes like this:

    You're my beloved
    Lover I'm yours
    Death shall not part us
    It's you I died for
    For better or worse
    Forever we'll be
    Our Love it unites us
    It binds you to me
    It's a mystery

  4. i feel so unworthy to be called God's beloved. but just thinking about how we are so far from perfect but God loves us anyway, it teaches me to love myself more! This is such an inspirational post, thank you Kathryn :)
