Troubled

Hey it's DJ here, and i'm a bit confused. today at school i was sitting down next to my friend, who was doing his homework at the time, when this girl came up and said,
"DJ move, i need Jack's help with the homework."
i didn't really feel like getting up, so i just said,
"Well, that's unfortunate."
"No wonder u can't get a girlfriend." and then she squeezed in between Jack and i. now i don't know if i was the bad guy here or not, if i was then i'm sorry... i guess. But for some reason what she had said really bothered me and kinda distracted me the rest of the day and i don't know why i was so troubled by this.

If you guys happen to read this, and you think you know the answer to this, then please comment a Bible verse or just some advice or answers.

Till next time, DJ

  1. Hey DJ,
I'm not completely sure what I should say since I don't live your life, so I probably can't fully understand it...but I can try to help...

I don't know if your answer was probably the best one to give, but her response was shallow, low, and just stupid. Who cares if your dating? If that's where she places her identity, fine. We know that we should put her identity in Christ.

I don't know exactly what I'm saying, and I don't know exactly what's bothering you about it, but I think the best answer is to treat her with LOVE and also to forget about that stupid comment.

Romans 12:2 is about devoting yourself to God, not this world...
Romans 13:8-10 talks about loving others...
Romans 16:17-20 talks aobut not listening to what is wrong...kinda...
Ephesians 6:18 also has a good point. With all prayer and supplication, pray at every oppurtunity in the Spirit.

God knows your heart and hers more than any of us can, so I think prayer is probably the best answer. And keep reading your bible...God will place the verse you need in front of you.

Hopefully that made sense and helped a little.

  2. Thank you. Before i read this post, i was listening to the song "By Your Side" by Tenth Avenue North and the lyrics went like "Why r u looking for love, why r u still searching as if i'm not enough,
Cause I'll be by your side, whenever you fall in the dead of night, whenever you call and please don't fight, these hands that are holding you, oh my hands r holding you."

At that moment i understood that I'm growing up in an unsteady and changing world, and to pass all the challenges in our lives and to gain peace, all you need is Christ.

James 1:2-4 "Be joyful when you are being tested. You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance. Endure until your testing is over. Then you will become mature and and complete. You will find peace in Christ and in yourself and not need anything."

Thankyou for the comment, it really helped.
