Acts 2

So I know we were supposed to read Acts 2 yesterday, but I'm still trying to catch up...so here a few verses that really stuck out to me in this chapter:

Acts 2:21
"And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Acts 2:25-28
"For David says concerning Him: 'I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for He is at my right hand, that I may NOT be shaken. Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue was glad; moreover, my flesh will also rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence."

Acts 2:38-39
"Then Peter said to them, 'Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

To me, these verses are so reassuring. (: They really speak to me, reminding that me that God is ALWAYS there for us. All we have to do is love Him. So simple, yet so challening in our world today.

Love you all <3

  1. And another thing...Acts 2:25 ("I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for He is at my right hand, that I may not shaken") is so connected to Psalm 119:165 ("Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble"). So cool! With the Lord, we will not be shaken, and we will not stumble.
