last chapter of John

Chapter 21

I love how the disciples never recognize Jesus until he does something crazy awesome. The disciples went out fishing and caught nothing then Jesus says "Try the other side" and they can't even pull it in. I love that Peter is like a dog coming to his master and can't even wait on the and jumps out and swims to him.

Once again we see the Lord's grace as Jesus asks Peter if he loves him three times since he denied him three times. Peter was the "rock on whom Christ will build the church" and look how bad he messed up. Let us not be discouraged for the Lord will never leave us, forsake us, or abandon us no matter how bad we slip.

I love that the last verse of John he says: "Now there are also many other things Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written." SOOOOO SWEET!!!

I have gotten more out of the gospel of John than I ever have times 10! Thanks for doing this with me quest. Now on to one of my favorite books... the story about what happens to the believers after Jesus returns to his father... the book of Acts baby
